It was built by carpenter Kato Sadashichi in Shirakawago-Myozenji 1801 of winter which will be in an Ogi-machi colony, The Myozenji belfry gate of a thatched two-layer structure said to have been influenced by the Tendai sect of Buddhism. Snow has lain on the belfry gate. Myozenji will be made as a temple of the Jodoshin sect in 1748. Moreover, the Myozenji abbacy in the back was stood by the carpenter of the alp in the Edo period last stage. It is opened to the public for pay (300 yen) as a race scientific library in the building of the greatest style featuring a steep rafter roof in this area of five-layer structure now. Moreover, both of these belfry gates and Myozenji abbacies are protected as a prefectural specification building. |
